Our scholarship honors the legacy of Emily Victoria Solek — a young 21 year old rising University of Michigan senior who was known by friends and acquaintances as someone who embraced other people with deep perception and an uncanny ability to relate to individuals showing compassion, guidance, and joy.

We are all not given equal time in this world, and what we choose to do with our time is important. 

Emily cherished her family and friends and made others feel important and loved.
